Geert Blijham is a member of the Supervisory Board of Julius Clinical Research.
He studied medicine and received his PhD at the University of Groningen, the Netherlands.
His previous positions include Vice-Dean at the Medical Faculty of Maastricht, the Netherlands. He specialised in internal medicine and medical oncology, were he was appointed Professor in 1987. In 1992, he was also appointed Professor in internal medicine of the University Medical Center (UMC) Utrecht, the Netherlands.
From 1998 to 2009, Geert Blijham was chairman of the Board of Directors and Vice-Dean of UMC Utrecht. He was also chairman of the Dutch Federation of University Medical Centers from 2005 to 2008. He is currently advisor of the Board of Directors of UMC Utrecht.
