WHO WE ARE
Primary care practices serve as the patient’s first point of entry into the health care system and as the continuing focal point for all needed health care services. Almost all European citizens have a general practitioner (GP) who is the first contact physician in case of health problems. Primary care practices provide health promotion, disease prevention, health maintenance, counselling, patient education, diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic illnesses in a variety of health care settings (e.g., office, inpatient, critical care, long-term care, home care, day care, etc.).
FOR GP’S
The reason why primary care practices are organized, is to meet the needs of patients with undifferentiated problems, with the vast majority of patient concerns and needs being cared for in the primary care practice itself. Primary care practices are generally located in the community of the patients, thereby facilitating access to health care while maintaining a wide variety of specialty and institutional consultative and referral relationships for specific care needs. Nowadays, Primary care practices are supported by the newest IT technologies and frequently use telemedicine as a tool to access advanced diagnostic methods.
If you wish to be more engaged in clinical research activities, enhance your patients’ care and further develop your practice, please consider joining PCRN*.
Our team will provide support during all the phases of the study as we are aware of the challenges related with patient selection and recruitment. Furthermore, our team will work closely with you and your team and will provide guidance and assistance in completing study related documents and communication with the sponsor to resolve queries.

FOR SPONSORS
The clinical research industry today is undergoing a major change and is looking to adopt and implement innovative ways to accelerate drug development and access to the market. The emerging concept of “patient-centric trials” is a new opportunity for both the clinical research industry and Primary Care practices supported by technology, social media, and education.
The PCRN supports late phase and observational studies within therapeutic areas frequently presented in Primary Care practices.
We are happy to perform a feasibility study within the network to check if we can perform your study.
EXPERIENCE
Whether your study involves specific clinical trial phases, an investigator-initiated trial, observational study or custom or tailor-made trial, we have years of experience in clinical trials and the expertise you need wherever it’s required – including at short notice – whatever the therapeutic area in question. The trials conducted with the expertise of the PCRN, are:

SCIENTIFIC INSIGHTS
Education, motivation and quality have priority at Julius Clinical. For this reason, we offer accredited continuing education, so that all parties involved are well informed of developments in the field of scientific research in the primary care setting.
Research results are linked back, including via accredited continuing education and newsletters. If necessary or desired, we also offer education prior to a new study. Continuing education activities are currently mainly focused on general practitioners, nurse practitioners, practice assistants and pharmacists.
We organise continuing education and events in conjunction with our partners Elevate and PAO-H.
